Overview

Once Google Merchant Center is connected, the Dema Agent can inspect your catalogue directly inside a conversation — read product listings across one or more Merchant Center accounts (including aggregator/MCA sub-accounts), showing title, brand, price, and availability; roll up disapproval issue counts to quantify catalogue health and prioritise what to fix first; and list which accounts and sub-accounts the connection can reach. The agent only acts when you ask it to.

Prerequisites

  • A Google Merchant Center account, with Admin access so you can add the connecting account.
  • The numeric merchant ID of the account (or sub-account) you want the agent to read.
  • Best practice: a dedicated Google “agent” account.

Connect Google Merchant Center

1

Grant the agent account access in Merchant Center

  1. Sign in to Merchant Center (merchants.google.com) as an Admin.
  2. Open Settings and select Access and services.
  3. On the People and access tab, click Add person.
  4. Enter the connecting Google account email.
  5. Choose Admin access (Standard users cannot view reports) and save.
  6. Have that account accept the invitation.
  7. Copy the numeric merchant ID (top-right next to the account name; for an MCA, use the specific sub-account ID).
For a multi-client (MCA) account, connect the specific sub-account merchant ID for the data you want, not the parent MCA ID.

Connect in Dema

In Dema, go to Agents → Settings → Integrations, find Google Merchant Center, and click Connect. Sign in with the granted account, approve the access, and enter:
  • Merchant ID — the numeric merchant ID you copied.
Click Add. Dema marks the integration as Active.

Troubleshooting

Confirm the connecting account has Admin access and you entered the correct merchant ID, then reconnect.
Use the sub-account merchant ID shown when you open that sub-account, not the parent ID.
Reconnect from the integration card.
If you are still stuck, contact support with the error message you see.
