What is export segmentation labels to Shopify tags?

Exporting segmentation labels to Shopify tags lets you push Dema product set labels directly into your Shopify store as product tags. Once enabled, products in a set are tagged in Shopify with a consistent format (e.g., DEMA|My Set|High Margin), so you can use those tags for collections, automation, or reporting inside Shopify.

Prerequisite

Update Shopify permission before using this feature. Please contact our Customer Success team to enable it for your account.

How to export segmentation labels to Shopify

  1. Click the ••• button on the right side of the product set.
  2. Click “Manage export integrations.”
  3. From the list, check the shop domain you want to export to.
  4. Click “Apply”

How it works

Tags in Shopify are updated:
  • Every morning
  • When the Shopify export is enabled for a product set
  • Whenever the product set is updated (clicking “Save” inside the set)
  • When the name of the product set is changed
Tags in Shopify are removed:
  • When the product set is deleted

How Dema tags look

Dema tags in Shopify follow this format: 
DEMA|<set name>|<label name>
Example: If the set name is “My Set” and the label name is “High Margin”, the tag in Shopify will be: 
DEMA|My Set|High Margin
