Overview

Once Gmail is connected, the Dema Agent can send emails from your Gmail account. Useful for sharing Dema findings with stakeholders or sending automated updates from a conversation.
The Gmail integration is send-only. Dema does not read your inbox or any existing messages.

Prerequisites

  • A Google Workspace or personal Google account.
  • If you are on Google Workspace, your admin may need to approve third-party apps before you can connect.

Connect Gmail

  1. In Dema, go to Agents → Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find Gmail and click Connect.
  3. Sign in to Google and approve the scopes Dema requests.
  4. You are returned to Dema with the integration marked as Active.

Troubleshooting

  • Admin approval required. If your Google Workspace blocks the Dema Agent during sign-in, ask your Workspace admin to approve the app for your organization.
  • Send fails with “insufficient permissions”. Disconnect and reconnect the integration to re-approve the gmail.send scope.
