# Intercom

> Let the Dema Agent search Intercom conversations and access contact and company data.

## Overview

Once Intercom is connected, the Dema Agent can search conversations, look up contacts, and read company data from your Intercom workspace. Useful for bringing support context into a Dema analysis.

## Prerequisites

* An Intercom workspace with permission to install apps.

## Connect Intercom

1. In Dema, go to **Agents → Settings → Integrations**.
2. Find **Intercom** and click **Connect**.
3. Sign in to Intercom and approve the scopes Dema requests.
4. You are returned to Dema with the integration marked as Active.

## Scopes Dema requests

| Scope                             | What it allows                                  |
| --------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| Read and list users and companies | Look up contacts and their associated companies |
| Read conversations                | Search and read support conversations           |

## Troubleshooting

* **Conversations missing.** Dema only sees conversations visible to the workspace role you authorized with. Make sure the authorizing user has access to the inboxes or teams you need.
